Solar energy trading solution for the international energy company
According to the International Energy Agency, solar power currently accounts for 4.5% of global electricity generation, and it is the third largest renewable electricity technology behind hydropower and wind.
People living in apartments or houses lacking the infrastructure for green power installation often miss out on the advantages of using clean energy, such as cost savings and environmental benefits. Fortunately, energy companies have started seeking solutions to address this issue.
We are therefore pleased to present a case study about a solar energy prosumer solution for a European energy company.
Situation
Our client is a European renewable energy company specialising in producing and supplying power and heat. They also trade and distribute power and natural gas while actively contributing to the maintenance and development of power systems.
Furthermore, the client aims to shift towards a clean and sustainable energy future. As part of this commitment, they wanted to build a modern solar park solution, enabling individuals to buy or lease a share in a distant solar power plant.
As we had a similar project experience, the client reached out to us with their needs. Thus, we offered UX/UI development platform software development, self-service portal for solar park developers and self-service system for buyers and renters.
Solution
Working together with the client’s in-house team, we built a user-friendly online platform. This new solar park solution enables easy buying or renting shares in a remote solar power park, establishing the world’s first nationwide choice for solar electricity enthusiasts.
Our team leveraged diverse technologies, including PHP, CSS, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis, to guarantee the platform’s functionality, efficiency, and stability.
We designed a service portal and prosumer platform catering to the needs of both producers and consumers. The new solution is customised to meet the requirements of both B2B and B2C customers in Europe.
Added value
Now, the newly developed solar parks’ platform provides an easy-to-use interface and user-friendly design making it simple for customers to buy or rent a portion of a solar power park.
Additionally, the client can streamline processes, efficiently handle large volumes of data, and gain real-time insights for informed decision-making.
Following the platform’s launch, we continued partnering with the client, focusing on continuous improvements and maintenance. This ensures the solar parks’ platform stays optimal and evolves effectively.
