2019 06 13 · 1 min read#NITEC19 – The NATO Communications and Information (NCI) Agency’s flagship event took place in Oslo, 20-22 May. The event gathered together more than 700 industry leaders, military and government officials. The main focus of the event was to search for the best technological solutions and business practices that could strength NATO operations in the High North.
Those meetings are a great chance for innovative businesses to find synergies and opportunities with other industry partners. Events such as NITEC are very important for NATO, because we need your help to prepare for the Alliance’s future.
Vidar Hole – CEO at Wilnor Governmental Services on the “High North Technology Ultramarathon” panel presented “HOBS” – Host Nation Support and Billing System. Using a web-based platform to streamline a previously complicated process, HOBS has ensured efficiency and transparency for all parties before, during and after an operation. This unique platform was created by WGS in partnership with Baltic Amadeus company. As Vidar Hole states, “This technological innovation eases the process of ordering before and during as well as billing after the exercise to both participating and hosting nations.“
HOBS platform was developed after detailed analysis of client‘s business specifics and processes, we offered to combine all the ordering, affirmation, registration, management and other processes into one single platform thus solving identified issues. It is important to notice that the platform allows the client to operate over the single, integrated data set. E-commerce platform facilitates and speeds up the trace-ability of recipients’ services and billing procedures. This helps to reduce the number of untraceable cases substantially. These features let the client to perform processes in fast and efficient way, which is extremely important while handling billing procedures during the large scale military exercises.
For the Baltic Amadeus team it was the first defence related event, which was extremely interesting, enriching, full of inspiring conversations, motivating meetings and attention-grabbing speeches on stage from the world-class leaders and industry professionals. It is for sure one of the best events related to the defence technologies.
