We have a new Head of the Information Security unit, Martynas Savickas, who will take on the role starting at the beginning of February. With fifteen years of experience in banking, financial technologies, and the public sector, Martynas will ensure that regulatory compliance and cybersecurity resilience become not only strategic objectives for clients but also a solid foundation for daily operations.

“Companies in the finance, public sector, and critical infrastructure sectors face new threats every day, so strengthening cybersecurity is not just a legal compliance requirement. It is an investment in the long-term continuity of business operations,” says the new head of information security.

According to Martynas, it is crucial not only to provide top-quality security services but also to ensure that these services create real value for the client: helping them effectively manage risks and enhance organisational resilience.

“By providing information security services, the Baltic Amadeus team ensures a balance between compliance assessment, continuous monitoring, threat analysis, risk management, and resilience enhancement. This allows clients to gain maximum benefit from every investment in security. I am delighted to contribute to the realisation of this vision with my experience and expertise,” adds Martynas.

Extensive experience in information security

Before joining Baltic Amadeus, Martynas served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for fifteen years at banks, fintech companies, and public sector organisations in Lithuania. Throughout his career, Martynas has implemented risk management and IT security architecture and led the development and expansion of security functions – from building departments and developing teams to deploying technological solutions and ensuring operational efficiency.

Martynas will now be responsible for improving the services offered by Baltic Amadeus, with a special focus on the development of virtual CISO services. Given the growing demand for these services, driven by regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), the Network and Information Systems Directive 2 (NIS 2 Directive), and the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), the cybersecurity expert will ensure the successful implementation of specialised cybersecurity projects.

Martynas will also be entrusted with the development of new services to address the evolving needs of clients in the cyber security sector.
